Cambria's CD

So...being a stay at home mom I listen to A LOT of Baby Einstein and Disney's greatest hits. But I wanted to make Cambria a CD of some music that Skyler and I liked when she was born. Now, I could have just given her Kenny Chesney's greatest hits and called it quits but I'm pretty sure she'll be a fan of Uncle Kenny when she's 16. Then I was met with the challenge that I really don't like the music that's "popular" right now. (ie. Pink, Katy Perry, blah blah) It's just junk. But when Cambria is older I want her to think her mom once was (and still is) totally rad. So here is the list we came up with:
Estelle & Kanye-American Boy
Sean Kingston-Beautiful Girl
Brandtson-Earthquakes & Sharks or Mercy Medical—I can’t decide
The Format-On Your Porch
The Honorary Title-Cut Short
Thriving Ivory-Hey Lady
Taylor Swift-Breathe
Straylight Run-Existentialism on Prom Night
Secondhand Serenade-Fall for You
Motion City Soundtrack-My Favorite Accident
Boys Like Girls-Thunder
Counting Crows-Around Here
Cute is What We Aim For-Lyrical Lies
Brand New-The Quiet Things that No one Ever Knows
Dolla-Tore Up
It was pretty tough because we were met with the challenge of including things we liked from high school which opened up a whole big debate on whether or not we should include The Used, Dashboard, My Chemical Romance, Something Corporate.. and the list goes on since my husband pretty much is a fan of every single emo/punk band ever but luckily I won and refused to include any Death cab because they're just not my cup of tea. I think we have a nice mix though, but let me know what you think and if you have a good reason why another song should be added.

Play Time

I'm trying to take a picture of her almost crawling but she just wanted to grab the camera and play with it the whole time. We buy all these toys for her but still her favorite things are cell phones, the remote, and now our camera.

She's sitting up pretty good here and you can tell she's trying hard to stay up by her serious face.

I love you to peaches!

At first I thought she really liked eating peaches, but then she kept making a sour face. So I mixed them with oatmeal and she ate it fine but when eating just the peaches she didn't like that too much. We will try apples next then try to get her to like peaches. I thought they tasted good so atleast they won't go to waste.

We go through a lot more clothes now that she's eating other foods due to the fact that she always wants to be holding her spoon then wipes her hands all over her clothes. That's okay though because I thought shopping for myself was fun but buying baby clothes is so much better! I also should mention that I'm really excited to see Confessions of a Shopaholic this weekend. I don't think I've been this excited to see a movie since National Treasure 2. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint because the books are my all time favorite.

6-months

I can't believe she's 6 months already! Cambria had a doctor appointment Monday and she is not 15.2 pounds, which is in the 25%, she's 26.5 inches long which is the 75% and her head circumference is 44.2 cm. which is in the 90%! I didn't realize I had a giant headed baby! But she's so smart it's okay. She's beginning to eat fruits and it was very successful. I'm excited that she's eating other foods now. We think it will just be a few weeks before she's crawling, she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. We put her toys far away from her to try to entice her to crawl to them but she has just learned how to scoot and grab them so I have to put her toys across the room. One of her favorite things to do is scoot backwards under our bed or our couches. I'm not sure why she likes this so much but since she has such a giant head it doesn't fit under the furniture. So atleast she doesn't get stuck!

Toast

For all of you who don't know what to be when they grow up, this is something to aspire to.
