Last Friday we went to the Festival of Trees but it was really crowded and the line for scones was way too long to wait in, which was really the reason I wanted to go in the first place, so we saw about half the trees and a few gingerbread houses. Cambria loves all Christmas related decorations so she had a blast.

Then we went to Thanksgiving Point for dinner and ice cream and saw Santa's Reindeer.

A couple months ago Skyler said we have too many stuffed animals! Which is true... We have run out of places to put all them so most of them are just always scattered around but it does not stop us from getting more. Stuffed animals are Cambria's absolute favorite things to play with.

Her latest/favorite animal is Jeffrey the Giraffe.

Here she is teaching him how to play the piano.

Today we went in the canyon to collect leaves for something Cambria and I will make next week.

I love Halloween because it was the first time Skyler and I actually hung out! After hours of flirting in PE and one "nerve-racking" phone call made by Skyler, we finally hung out! And the rest is history... aaaaahhh, how cute.

i help you!

Cambria LOVES to help me do everything. Whether it's cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, or doing my hair she runs with her arms in the air saying "I help you, I help you!" until I give her some way to help.

She especially likes to help me with the cooking. Mostly because she gets to sit on the counter and eat.

Today it was cookies.

sock puppets and dishwashers

It's no secret that I spend waaaay too much money at Borders. This, however, was a great buy! I bought a sock puppet kit. So we made sock puppets the other day. It turns out the glue that was included isn't the best, so I ended up sewing/hot gluing the puppets.
When asked what we should make Cambria said a pig and a snake so that's what we made... more or less. I couldn't get a picture to do them justice because Cambria was too busy playing with them.

Unfortunately our dishwasher broke today...

Fortunately Skyler and Cambria fixed it!

last days of summer

I forgot I have had some pictures on my camera for a while of things we did in August, so here are a few.

We went to the Salem Days parade and got a ton of treats. So the parade was a hit with Cambria.

Cambria started gymnastics last week-she hated it. So we will try again soon. But she did master the "ta-da" when we were at home.

Today we went to the zoo which was fun, but a little chilly. It wiped Skyler and Cambria out and they are now asleep.

Cambria was scared of this gorilla, but the gorillas were her favorite animals to watch, and she informed everyone that was around her the baby gorilla's favorite thing to do was swing around on trees.

birthday girl

As most of you probably know Cambria's birthday was Saturday and she turned 2! We had a fun day filled with lots of food, a Mickey Mouse party, playing, and napping. We forgot to take pictures all day of her but finally took a few with Skyler's phone at dinner that night when she ate her birthday ice cream.

One of the presents she got was a Mrs. Potato Head, she hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet.

We were birthday shopping for Cambria at Target and couldn't quite keep her away from all the toys we planned on purchasing, so she got some early.

Cambria was sick with some stomach problems a few days ago and since Skyler always buys her something when she is sick he brought home tools for her and she loves fixing everything in our house.


My dad built us a hutch for our kitchen and I thought it would be a great space for more storage but it turns out to be just a great place for Cambria to play.
