sliding on garbage

Cambria grabbed her empty diaper box this evening and brought it out of her room and put in on it's side and began to slide down it. How she thought of this, I will never know. But she had a great time doing it. I just sat and laughed at her the whole time for inventing a slide out of garbage. I would buy one for her for our house but then Cambria wouldn't like nursery anymore because that's what keeps her entertained the whole time.

The box started to break, so what did any good mom do?
Made another slide out of the couch, a tupperware lid, and a total gym.

18 months

Cambria was officially 18-months on Sunday. She had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she is now a whopping 21.9 pounds and 32 1/4 inches tall. Which means she is a really skinny girl, which to me doesn't make sense because it's not like she has a particularly healthy diet; all she has wanted to eat this morning has been cookies and I let her.
Skyler is in California so we have spent our days playing outside in the cold because Cambria loves to be outside even if it is freezing, we watched Julie and Julia last night, which I absolutely adored even though I didn't think I would when I saw the previews for it, and today we are going to Border's and probably the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. So even though Skyler is out of town we are still having fun.
Like always I had a really hard time getting a picture of her since she won't sit still long enough for me to try so here are the ones I did get.

I was trying to take a picture of me and Cambria but she didn't want me to be in the picture.

These were taken last night, and yes she is eating a cookie. I think I need to hide the box of cookies because it has just been out on the counter and Cambria can see it and walks in the kitchen pointing at the cookies. She has had 3 in cookies in the last two days. They are delicious so I think I will have to go to Target and get some more.

snow day

We played in the snow earlier this week after it snowed a bunch and she loved sitting and eating the snow and being pulled in the sled because she wouldn't walk around by herself.

So, I made her a snow chair so she could sit in style while eating the snow.

She also helped me build a Cambria-sized snowman by making snowballs and handing them to me.
The day after we played in the snow I was getting Cambria dressed and asked her what she wanted to wear and she grabbed her snow hat and gloves and put them on and went and stood by the door and pounded on it because she wanted to play in the snow more!

We didn't go play in the snow though so she just sat inside in her snow gear and played.

The next day she did the exact same thing! I have a picture of it but it's not sending from my phone for some reason, so if it does I will post it but you'll just have to trust me. I did make her day by letting her play in the snow again on Friday, but since there's not much snow anymore she ended up playing in the mud and made a huge mess. It was great.

playing catch up

This was taken with my phone because of how funny Cambria's hair looked. She had a bath then went down for a nap and this was what her hair did.

Skyler and Cambria made a fort last Sunday and had a great time playing in it. Skyler already has plans for an even bigger and better fort, "we just need bigger blankets".

A few weeks ago Cambria learned how to climb up on the table by the couches to climb on to the couches. She has not fallen yet so I still let her climb up there. Actually, it is impossible to stop her.

I made this dress a few weeks ago with my new sewing machine I got for Christmas. It's some of my best work and I was just making it up as I went. However, since I made it up as I went...it's way too big. So perhaps when she is 3 you will see pictures of her wearing it.
