Homestead Golden

Saturday I ran the Homestead Golden 15k (9.3 miles) race in Midway. It was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be, since a good portion of the course was uphill, on a dirt/rock road. But it was still fun and good to accomplish a goal I set for myself.

This is all a part of my training to do a half marathon in July. About mile 8 I said there's no way I'm doing a half marathon but once I finished I changed my mind and decided I still want to.

California vacation

Last week we went to Anaheim and San Diego. We had a great time at Disneyland. Cambria absolutely loved all the rides we went on and cried when she had to get off them. It was also fun for her to see all the characters.

I also got the 24-hour stomach flu during our vacation so that was a big bummer and didn't do much that whole day, we had planned to go to the zoo but I didn't go, I just stayed in our hotel.
We went to 2 beaches but it was cold both days so we didn't get to swim. Which was a bummer because we all wanted to go swim, but we still had a good time playing in the sand. It was warmer in Utah than it was in California and rained all day the day after we got back! Oh well.

Even though it wasn't the ideal trip we still enjoyed spending time together.
