so far so good

Skyler is in Canada
My mom is in Spokane
Other family members are in Las Vegas
And we are in Orem! So what have we been doing since they left?

Cambria discovered she really likes sidewalk chalk.

We went up the canyon before the weather turned bad.

We went to a birthday party.

And still have another one to go to Friday!

And I finished a fall dress I made for Cambria.

This one was hard to sew because I was making it up as I went and it has some pretty visible errors but I am glad to be done with it because it has made me mad for the past few days.

5k fun

Since no one, other than my mom, joined me on the 5k Saturday I will rub it in how much fun it was! I ran 1:15 faster than I did the last one so I was pretty happy. My time was 25:25 and I got 3rd in my age division and I think I got 31st overall. I'm not sure on the exact place because the results have not been posted yet but hopefully tomorrow they will be. The best thing about running races is that you get a lot of freebies. I got a shirt, a water bottle, a "cancer sucks" pin, and loads of coupons for things. The next one I might do is October 24 and it is at night running through the American Fork cemetery which sounds cool so I think I will do it!

This isn't my favorite picture but oh well.
And a big congrats to my mom who also did the 5k with me!

my latest project

This is my latest sewing accomplishment. I had a hard time getting a good picture of Cambria in it because she wouldn't hold still. This one didn't take as long I'm just worried about the flower staying on because Cambria likes to play with it.
Anyway, I'm excited to get started with my next project which will be a dress for Cambria.

Mad dash for cancer

The American Fork Hospital is having a 5k and all the proceeds go to the Huntsman Cancer institute. It's a fun run/walk so everyone can go. It's September 26 @ 9:00am. Cambria and I will be there so I hope people I know will come run with me!

Home made fun

If you would have told me a year ago that I would be sewing clothes (and enjoying it) I would have laughed at you. Nonetheless, I got over the sewing my finger incident and decided to start sewing once again.
I made this skirt for Cambria and think it's really cute. It looks better in real-life. It's hard to say this but I liked sewing so much that I think I will buy my own sewing machine instead of using my moms.
This is actually the third thing I have made. I was inspired by a shirt I saw on Esty and thought that I could make it but it didn't turn out exactly as I wanted so I will probably try that one again and I have also made a cloth book for Cambria.

Watching TV

The other night Skyler and Cambria were watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. There is a part where Goofy slips on some bananas and they all fall on his head and she thought it was the greatest thing. When I started filming it was the third time she had seen it and she laughs every time!
This also showcases my great video camera skills.

giggles

This was at 10:30 at night when Cambria was supposed to be sleeping. Oops.
