Ethan James Tolman

Ethan was born December 24 at 2:27pm. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long.
He is a really good baby, he eats and sleeps really well. He really likes being snuggled in blankets and lying on dad's chest.

We think he looks a lot like Cambria did when she was born. Cambria loves having a baby brother and is being a really good helper.

He was not so happy after his first bath.

New House

December 8, 2011

December

Time for an update since a lot has changed with us recently. The biggest of all was the week of Thanksgiving we moved to Eagle Mountain! So far we love it and I will post pictures of our house when I finally get around to taking some.
We are also waiting, not so patiently, for baby boy to come. I'm 36 weeks so hopefully it won't be too much longer. We don't have a name picked out yet though.

We went to Thanksgiving Point so Cambria could see some of Santa's reindeer.

Cambria is loving the Christmas season and wants everything she sees in magazines or on TV. She has sat on Santa's lap twice and each time has asked for a Miss Muffin Doll. Last night her school had their Christmas program. She loves to sing and loves to sing loud!

happy halloween

Cambria had so much fun this year for Halloween. We carved and painted lots of pumpkins, went to corn/hay mazes, farms, pumpkin patches, made lots of treats, and watched fun Halloween movies. She will be sad to see all the decorations taken down. We went to our ward Halloween party and trick-or-treating. But she actually enjoyed passing out candy more than actually trick-or-treating. Which is all right with me because I love passing out candy too.

Unfortunately I only took one picture of Halloween.

fall

Cambria was SO excited to rake leaves on Saturday! So we spent the afternoon raking and jumping in leaves.

go t-wolves

Cambria did the THS cheer clinic this year. She really did learn all the cheers but when it came time to actually doing them she just played and ran around. But she really liked doing it and had so much fun with Carly and all the other cheerleaders.

got my camera back

Two weeks ago I lost my camera at Gardner Village but someone found it and mailed it to me. How nice, but I think it got run over a couple times because it is pretty beat up.

This is the only picture I have of me pregnant and the only one I will ever have. I'm not a fan of looking at how big I get. But Cambria was afraid of the witches and I thought it was funny to see how close I could get her to them. She did eventually stop being afraid of them when I made her touch one so she could see it was not real.

Cambria had a bit of an accident today and cut her lip pretty bad. So she milked it for all it was worth by trying to get me to let her watch a lot of cartoons and eat 15 marshmallows with her hot chocolate because that will "make her lip feel much better".
She was telling one of her dolls what happened to her and she said "my boo boo will get better because Jesus will take care of me".

Today we went to the park to feed ducks and play.

our life lately from phone pictures

Recently my phone had a disaster so I hurried and saved all the pictures I had on my phone before they were all lost. So these are pictures of what he have done the last couple weeks.

We were locked out of grandma's house but luckily I had quilt stuff with us to use as a pillow.

Pretending to be sick.

Helping make a blanket.

Delicious otter pops.
Feeding ducks.

growing up

Cambria started preschool!
She goes Tuesday and Thursday for a couple hours each afternoon. After one time of going she loves it and thinks it's a lot of fun. As far as I can tell the only thing she learned was "hands off the dishwasher".

She also had her 3-year old check up today. She now weighs 29.2 pounds (25%) and is 38.75 inches tall (75%).

Yes, this is a bucket of side walk chalk as her helmet. At least she knows to always be safe.

3 years

Today Cambria turned 3! We celebrated all weekend long. We had a picnic in the park, rode the Alpine slide and coaster in Park City, went to a baseball game, and best of all played with new toys!

She requested green cupcakes because her favorite color is green.

We got her a powered scooter which goes about 3 mph, plays music, and lights up. She has not wanted to stop playing with it.

zombies

Me and Cambria were playing a game where I was a zombie and chased her around shouting "brains". She made up a song about it.

I'm not sure if you can tell what she is saying but it pretty much goes, there's a zombie in my house who wants my brains!

Hotlanta

Skyler won a trip to Atlanta through Aflac which took place July 28-31. We were really busy the whole time but it was exciting to be wined and dined. We stayed in a really nice hotel and ate some really great food and the entertainment each night was filled with dancing and singing which was fun.

We were able to tour Aflac headquarters in Columbus and see the ducks in their advertisements, and a bunch of other things but I was mainly excited about the ducks, too bad they hid from us most the time.

We also went to Stone Mountain Park which is home of the 8th wonder of the world which is a Granite rock which is huge. To put it in perspective this carving is bigger than Mt. Rushmore. We took a tram to the top to walk around, walked around the plantations and old village, and rode a train around the rock.

hiking

2 weekends in July we went hiking up by Squaw Peak. Cambria likes hiking but can be a little slow because she is more fascinated by the rocks and bugs and plants... So Skyler gets to carry her on his shoulders for most of it.
