Our night...

Last night we spent in the emergency room with Cambria. She was not feeling well Sunday night and it got worse all day Monday. I took her temperature at about 8:00pm and it was 102.3. So we went to the ER and she was very upset the whole time we were there and we couldn't calm her down. She had some good reasons to be upset though.
1. She didn't feel good
2. She was really tired
3. I forgot to bring some toys
4. People kept touching her
5. I'm pretty sure she was upset by the bums we saw and the crazy lady who got arrested

It turns out she has bilateral ear infections and a cold. Her temperature is still pretty high but has gone down. She's loaded up on medications and is already a lot happier than she has been for 2 days. It made me really happy this morning to see her playing because she hasn't wanted to for a while. This is the first time she's ever been sick and she isn't shy about letting us know when she is miserable.
And, United Health Care, I'm pretty certain you read our blog so you can just send all our bills to Cambria's pediatrician because they were the reason we had to go to the ER. After calling them 4 times, being told they didn't have any appointments, and after being on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a nurse I gave up and we went to the hospital. So it's their fault our bill will be high.

I'm sorry she's not feeling well. Having a sick child is the absolute worst! I'm sure you remember how distraught I was when JT was in Timp Hospital over Christmas a couple years ago. It sucks! Hope she gets better soon. Love ya.

oh no!! i hope she feels better :( that's so scary. yeah, i had a similar problem when i had a kidney infection when i lived in st. george. i went to the doctor three times, and the antibiotics they gave me didn't work, and i kept calling them to tell them my temperature was still high and i was getting worse. they said to wait it out.
so i gave up and them and went to the emergency room, they put me on an IV and a new antibiotic, and within hours, i was feeling so much better.
oh poor cambria, i'm glad she's got a great mom and dad to take care of her.
